Griffin Fire Department's Open House and Tender Push In Ceremony
YOU’RE INVITED TO MAKE HISTORY WITH GRIFFIN FIRE!
This isn’t just an open house — it’s a community moment.
Join us for a Griffin Fire Department Open House & Tender Push-In Ceremony, where you are invited to help physically push our new tender into the bay for the very first time as it’s officially placed into service.
With your tax dollars and continued support, the Griffin Fire Department has purchased a new 2026 Rosenbauer Water Tender.
A water tender is a specialized fire apparatus designed to transport large volumes of water to fire scenes, providing a critical water supply in areas where fire hydrants are not available.
This tender was made possible by our community members, which means it doesn’t belong to us — it belongs to the community we serve. And what better way to bring it into service than together.
What to expect:
Community-led push-in ceremony
Open house & tours of the newly renovated Station 13-1
Hot dogs & drinks provided
A fun, family-friendly evening celebrating service & partnership

Steamboat Island Community Preschool Pancake Feed
3nd Annual SICP Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser is coming up on March 14th!
Hosted by Griffin Fire Department, we invite you to join us from 9am-11am for a delicious pancake breakfast, raffle, and community event to raise funds for SICP! Last year's event was so popular, we are excited to host you all again this year.
What you can expect:

🎟️ $5 Raffle - with prizes donated by community businesses
🥞 Hot pancakes served up from your favorite firefighters! 👩🚒
🏡 A great opportunity to help raise funds for mainteance and emergencies

Board Meeting
The Board meets at 12:15pm on the third Thursday of each month. The meetings are open to the public. Changes to the meeting schedule and Meeting Agenda will be posted at Headquarters Station. If you would like to attend via Zoom, please contact the office at 360.866.9000, at least an hour before the start of the meeting and a link will be provided.
