Community members should contact their insurance companies for any possible changes or discounts to their policy. Click here for more information.

A Message From The Fire Chief, Corey A. Rux

Thank you for the approval of Proposition 1

On behalf of the Griffin Board of Fire Commissioners and the Griffin Fire Department, I would like to personally and sincerely thank the citizens of our amazing community for their overwhelming support. The approval of this Levy Lid Lift is an important part of our future strategic planning process. We appreciate the confidence the community has in our operation. We will continue to honor that confidence and trust with good stewardship of the tax dollars while we continue to focus on providing exemplary service to our citizens.

With the approval of the levy, we will be able to maintain current levels of service by creating a long term funding source for fire operations & emergency medical services, replace critical equipment that has met or exceeded its service life and increase our dedicated staffing levels to respond in your time of need. These strategic enhancements are critically important to effectively and safely provide emergency services to the citizens of Steamboat Island.

Again, I would like to express my deepest appreciation for your continued interest and support of your fire department and community.

Respectfully,

Corey A. Rux
